What are your thoughts on shopping at Goodwill?
The past couple months, I’ve developed a liking of fashion. I have a friend who always talks about finding cute, unique, and often vintage pieces at Goodwill stores. I’ve also read about such experiences in articles. I haven’t been to a Goodwill store, except when dropping off items for them to sell.
Do you ever shop at Goodwill? If so, how many times have you found something worth your trip there? Thank you!
yeah thats another concern of mine. how clean are the clothes?
i do love shopping at Forever21 for there great buys. i’m just curious if Goodwill is another outlet i can fish around for some pieces.
I go to the Goodwill near me every now and then. I’m squeamish about used clothing, but really its fine.
But also keep in mind that Goodwill isn’t just used clothing. They also get donations from stores that just have surplus or just didn’t manage to sell all of their seasonal items, and aren’t allowed to sell them to customers at discounts greater than what the corporate stores allows. To clarify: I worked at women’s clothing store. Once an item was marked down to a certain point we were no longer allowed to sell it, so we zero’d them out and donated them to women’s shelters and Goodwill.
And keep in mind that the money you spend at a Goodwill goes to support their different charities. Which range from clothing poor families to helping new immigrants learn the culture and the language
